Από τη Δευτέρα 28 Νοέμβριου έως την Παρασκευή 9 Δεκεμβρίου, θα λάβει χώρα στο Ντέρμπαν της Ν. Αφρικής η 17η διάσκεψη των μερών για την κλιματική αλλαγή (COP 17). Πρόκειται για τη γνωστή διάσκεψη που γίνεται μια φορά το χρόνο και αφορά τις διαπραγματεύσεις για την επίτευξη μιας παγκόσμιας συμφωνίας μείωσης των εκπομπών αερίων θερμοκηπίου.

Το WWF Ελλάς κατέθεσε σήμερα τα σχόλιά του στην ασφυκτικών περιθώριων διαβούλευση του ΥΠΕΚΑ για τον χρηματοδοτικό μηχανισμό στήριξης των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας.
Κατά την άποψη της οργάνωσης οποιαδήποτε απόφαση αποτελεί πρώτα και κύρια πολιτική επιλογή που πρέπει να σταθμίσει πολλαπλούς κοινωνικούς, οικονομικούς και περιβαλλοντικούς παράγοντες. Μια λελογισμένη μείωση των εγγυημένων τιμών πώλησης ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας από ΑΠΕ και η προσεκτική αύξηση του τέλους ΑΠΕ είναι δυο εύλογες πράξεις, που όμως πρέπει να συνοδευτούν από παράλληλες ενέργειες του Υπουργείου για άρση των στρεβλώσεων και αποφυγή κερδοσκοπικών φαινομένων.
