Energy Commissioner: Cutting CO2 emissions is solution to crisis
In their effort to respond sustainably to the economic crisis, states should introduce tougher climate policies, thus creating green jobs and supporting GDP growth. This statement was expressed by Connie Hedegaard, the EU’s Climate Commissioner.
“There was a very clear decision that we will, in that work, incorporate climate, green economy, resource efficiency into fundamental economic narratives,” the Commissioner told a conference in London on October 15th.
