Spanish feed-in tariff system
The Spanish feed-in tariff system for new renewable plants was suspended by a new Royal Decree Law (RDLey 1/2012, 27th of January).
This decision supported by the new Spanish Government as a response to the financial crisis and a way of curbing the country’s sovereign debt. “What is today an energy problem could become a financial problem,” stated Industry Minister Jose Manuel Soria.
